Ingredients

  • 1 lb asparagus spears
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil or any high-smoke-point oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Trim the tough ends of the asparagus spears by snapping or cutting them off.
  • Place the trimmed asparagus spears to the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Brush with avocado oil.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper over the oiled asparagus spears, toss to evenly distribute the seasonings.
  • Cook the asparagus in the air fryer for 6-8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking. The asparagus should be tender-crisp and slightly charred.
  • Once cooked, remove the asparagus from the air fryer and serve immediately.
